Government In Action Youth Tour
In addition to the Scholarship Program, Socorro Electric will sponsor one student from Socorro High School, Belen High School, Quemado High School, Magdalena High School and Alamo High School on the Government In Action Youth Tour, held June 11 thru June 17, 2012 in Washington, D.C.
The Government in Action Youth Tour has brought high school students to Washington, D.C., every June since the late 1950s. Students on the tour learn about electric cooperatives, American history, and U.S. government, and walk away with a greater understanding of their roles as citizens. It is a ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIENCE!
