SEC Announces Formation of Member Advisory Committee

Strengthening Transparency. Enhancing Member Voice.

YOUR Socorro Electric Cooperative (SEC) is pleased to announce the establishment of a Member Advisory Committee (SECMAC)—a new initiative designed to strengthen communication, increase transparency, and ensure that member perspectives remain at the center of cooperative decision-making.

Through this initiative, SEC is committing to:

• Enhancing Communication: Providing the Committee with timely and relevant information necessary to support informed discussion and feedback

• Regular Engagement: Hosting periodic Member Advisory Committee meetings at SEC headquarters

• Board Access: Allowing the Committee to submit agenda items and provide input or reports during Board meetings

• Rate Transparency: Providing advance notice of rate filings and opportunities to meet with SEC leadership and consultants to better understand proposals and offer input

• Member Visibility: Establishing dedicated space on the SEC website and supporting reasonable requests that help the Committee fulfill its role

This effort reflects SEC’s ongoing commitment to transparency, accountability, and member engagement. By creating another formal avenue for member input, the cooperative continues to uphold the core principle that members are at the heart of everything we do.

Additional details regarding participation, structure, and meeting schedules will be shared soon.

Together, we are strengthening the cooperative and ensuring your voice is heard.

Give me a call today and let's work together to make SEC stronger!
